Our history

Our Company distinguishes herself for using the traditional processing methods as a means to safeguard the high quality of real Parma prosciutto:

F.lli Galloni was born in 1960, at a time when the development of new industrial technologies was marking the beginning of profound changes in the production methods of dry-cured hams. From the outset, the Galloni brothers chose to focus on very high quality, with their products striking the right balance between the use of new food technology and natural meat processing procedures.

In keeping with this choice, the Galloni company grew gradually, expanding the historic plant located in Via Don Minzoni in several stages.

In 1972 it inaugurated its second plant, and the third one in 2000, reaching a total production capacity of more than 300,000 pieces a year.

Today the company holds a leading position in the domestic market, covering the whole country thanks also to an organized sales network.

The company’s rigorous standards have enabled it, for many years now, to export its products to countries with particularly strict health regulations, such the United States and Japan, where it is market leader in terms of quality and volumes. F.lli Galloni SpA is also licensed to export to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, China, Singapore, and Australia.

In July 2016 the company suffered a dramatic setback, as a large fire destroyed great part of the third plant.

It will take two days to stop the fire.
The damage is huge: 5.000 square meter and more than 80.000 legs are destroyed.

The company reacted immediately with great determination: Galloni carried on by building a new, larger, more innovative, more technological site. Exactly one year later, production re-started.

From this moment a new trip is designed and it will be the reconstruction history of F.lli Galloni S.p.A.
